Steven Okun is a renowned expert on US politics, government and trade and a ‘go-to’ expert commentator for media outlets all over the world.

He provides analysis on a frequent basis for both CNBC and Channel NewsAsia, and is a regular contributor to Singapore’s The Straits Times.

Formerly Deputy General Counsel in the Clinton Administration at the US Department of Transportation, Steve has first-hand experience working on each of the presidential campaigns of the Democratic candidates from 1988-2000.

Steve is the founder and CEO of APAC Advisors, a boutique ESG and sustainability consultancy focused on the financial services sector, as well a Senior Advisor for geostrategic public affairs firm McLarty Associates, where he works with global clients across the Asia Pacific region. He is also a regular contributor to the Australian Investment Council’s work in the ESG and sustainability areas.
