Terms and conditions - 2020
1. All presentations and circulations from Australian Investment Council
(AIC) events are done for the purposes of information only, these do not
constitute advice. Views expressed by a speaker, whether at an event or
through Communities, are their own. Please seek your own advice in relation
to your specific needs. Circulation copyright belongs to the author.
2. AIC reserves the right to alter this program and the line-up of
speakers, review registrations or cancel this event at its sole discretion.
If an event is cancelled AIC will, at the participant’s election, either
provide a refund or a credit. A credit must be used in respect of a future
AIC event(s) within 24 months of the credit being issued.
3. Registration for AIC events must be accompanied by a credit card (only)
payment online via the shopping cart link at point of registration. A tax
invoice will be provided via the online process.
4. AIC reserves the right to cancel at our sole discretion any
applications/registrations and/or refuse entry into the event if payment is
not successfully received via credit card at point of online registration.
5. Any other form of payment must be agreed to with AIC by contacting [email protected] and payments must be
received at least 7 working days prior to the event date.
6. Cancellations must be advised by email to [email protected] and received by AIC
before 5pm, at least 5 working days prior to the day of this event. AIC
reserves the right to refuse a refund after this time.
7. Refunds will not be granted if a registrant is unable to or fails to
attend an event (except where such failure is caused or contributed to by
AIC), attends late, is removed from the event at AIC’s discretion or does
not adhere to point 6.
8. Substitutions may be made at any time.
9. Any such substitutions made as per point 8 above must be from within the
same organisation unless otherwise agreed to by AIC in writing.
10. While AIC will make every reasonable effort to accommodate any dietary
requirements arising from a substitution with less than 5 working days’
notice, however, it may not always be possible due to individual venue
requirements and policy.
11. Registrants may have their name, contact details and organisation
included on the delegate list which may be distributed to other delegates
and/or sponsors in relation to the specific event. If a delegate does not
wish to be listed in the delegate list, the delegate must note this in
their registration/application form’s Special Needs field.
12. AIC may film and/or photograph events. You consent to being filmed
and/or photographed by AIC (or its representatives) and to AIC using your
name, likeness, image and/or voice in such films and/or photographs for the
purpose of promoting AIC events, services and products. No remuneration is
payable for such use.
13. AIC will otherwise collect, use, store and disclose personal
information in accordance with its privacy policy available at

14. On-line Communities may be provided by AIC to its members, subscribers
to and users of various AIC services and/or members of the public. You need
to be logged in to provide content to Communities.
15. Communities are intended for use by people who value good manners.
Please respect others in your choice of words and thoughts that you post on
the Communities pages. You are solely responsible for (and AIC has no
responsibility to you or any third party for) the content of the postings
you publish.
16. You must only use Communities in a reasonable manner, consistent with
these Terms and Conditions, the Privacy Policy as well as ordinary
community standards of behaviour and decency. Under no circumstances may
the Communities be used for any illegal purpose, or in a manner likely to
cause offence to a reasonable person.
17. When using Communities you must not;

type gibberish (random keys);

repeat the same character excessively;
- use swear words, derogatory or offensive language; or
- type in capital letters excessively (it is considered rude to conduct all
your conversation in capital letters).
18. Your right to use Communities is subject to any limitations, conditions
and restrictions established by AIC and AIC may, at its discretion alter,
suspend or discontinue any aspect of any Communities or any group at any
time. AIC may also impose limits on certain features and aspects of
Communities or any group or restrict your access to parts or all of any
Community or group without notice or liability.
19. Comments will be monitored, and if you fail to abide by these Terms and
Conditions or for any other reason we deem appropriate, in our sole
discretion, we may immediately without notice to you suspend or terminate
your account and your registration, and/or delete any content posted by you
on Communities. If we suspend or terminate your account or registration,
you must not set up any further accounts, re-register or supply any further
content to Communities.
20. By registering for an event or logging into Communities you agree to be
bound by these Terms and Conditions.
21. AIC may amend these Terms and Conditions at any time and will provide
the most recent version on its website.
22. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales
and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of
New South Wales.
